Scottish seal-shooting salmon farmers “named & shamed”; GAAIA releases 2013-2014 data obtained under FoI; Ban called on US imports of Scottish salmon

Below, un-edited,  is the latest “name & shame” PR sent by the Global Alliance Against Industrial Aquaculture (GAAIA), via its Director and well-known anti-farmed salmon activist Don Staniford. Many of the Sunday UK newspapers (Sunday Times, Herald on Sunday, Scotsman, Independent, BBC News, STV, etc…) carried page-long articles; see below. The data obtainedby GAAIA via Freedom of Information (FoI) – after the organisation ‘forced’ the Scottish Government to disclose the indormation – also enabled the establishment of a list of the ‘The Top 10 seal-killing salmon farm sites’. The data disclosure also reveals that the vast majority of dead seals go unreported and decaying corpses are rarely recovered or collected.
